Spartan STEM and
Alumni Connection

Careers and
Communication Technology

Thomas Jefferson High School has a CCT Magnet program. A 4-year program providing students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge of STEM through several different courses. This includes classes such as Audio Production, Business, Computer Science, Design, Journalism, Photography, Video Production and Robotics.

Majority of these classes also provide the students with the opportunity to earn college credit by completing the Capstone class. The program encourages students to learn problem solving skills and critical thinking skills to better advance in the subject of their choice.

Resources

We are equipped with advanced technology, some of the resources we have are a robotics workshop, computer labs, as well as digital studios. These are used in order to build their knowledge and expertise in STEM fields.

Students have access to shadowing, internship and apprenticeship opportunities where they are able to practice and apply their knowledge. DPS also provides students with paid internship opportunities. This is a great way for students to become exposed to/integrated with actual companies.
